Stories For Change (SFC) Studios entrusted us with the design of a book documenting the inspiring history of HLC (Headstart Learning Centre) School in Chennai. Our contributions included thoughtful design elements that enhanced the narrative, such as a timeline bar to indicate the year of the events discussed and an introspection section at the end of each chapter for deeper reader engagement. The book cover features an optical illusion, skill-fully blending the school’s symbol—a rooster—with the image of a smiling child, reflecting the institution's spirit. The illustrations were inspired by the original hand-drawn sketches of Mrs. Sudha Mahesh, a devoted teacher and the school’s visionary founder. To complement the compelling photography, we adopted a minimal colour scheme, ensuring the visuals remained the focal point. This project was a collaborative effort, and we extend our gratitude to the teams at SFC and HLC for their trust and encouragement throughout this creative journey.​
